Terms and Conditions

The rules that apply when residents, guards, estate administrators, and authorized users access GPERA.

Last updated: May 9, 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of GPERA, also known as the Gate Pass System (GPS), including the GPERA Resident App, GPERA Guard App, estate admin console, website, APIs, and related services.

By creating an account, accessing the platform, using an estate-issued account, generating a visitor pass, verifying a visitor, paying estate dues, or otherwise using GPERA, you agree to these Terms.

2. Who May Use GPERA

  • Residents, owners, tenants, household members, guards, estate administrators, estate leadership, and service personnel may use GPERA only when authorized by the relevant estate or by GPERA.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account or device unless you promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
  • You must not share passwords, OTPs, guard accounts, admin accounts, QR tokens, or pass codes except through intended visitor-pass workflows.

3. Platform Purpose

GPERA supports residential estate operations, including visitor access control, gate verification, entry and exit logs, resident management, dues and levy administration, receipts, complaints, communications, incident reporting, documents, elections, analytics, and audit records.

The exact features available to you may vary based on your estate, role, subscription, app version, device permissions, internet availability, and configuration chosen by estate administrators.

4. Resident Responsibilities

  • Create visitor passes only for legitimate visits and provide accurate guest, vehicle, and visit information.
  • Cancel passes that are no longer needed and avoid sending passes to unauthorized persons.
  • Use dues, complaint, announcement, document, and election features honestly and in line with estate rules.
  • Do not misuse GPERA to harass, defraud, impersonate, threaten, or compromise the safety of others.

5. Guard and Estate Admin Responsibilities

  • Use guard and admin accounts only for assigned estate duties.
  • Verify visitors according to estate security procedures and record entries, exits, denials, incidents, and blacklist matches accurately.
  • Do not bypass verification, falsify logs, misuse resident or visitor data, or allow another person to use your assigned account.
  • Estate administrators are responsible for configuring estates, users, roles, dues, announcements, documents, complaints, elections, and other estate records lawfully and accurately.

6. Visitor Passes and Gate Access

A GPERA visitor pass helps an estate verify a guest. It does not guarantee entry. Estates and guards may still deny entry based on estate rules, safety concerns, expired or invalid passes, blacklist status, identity mismatch, emergency instructions, or applicable law.

Passes may expire, be cancelled, be limited to a time window, be marked as used, or be blocked. All verification attempts may be logged for security and audit purposes.

7. Payments, Dues, and Receipts

Where enabled, GPERA may help estates display dues, levies, payments, balances, receipts, and related financial records. Payment processing may be handled by third-party providers such as Paystack.

Estate administrators remain responsible for the correctness of estate charges, allocations, refunds, exemptions, and financial policies. Users should contact their estate administrator for disputes about estate charges or balances.

8. Prohibited Conduct

  • Attempting to access another user, estate, guard, admin, visitor, payment, complaint, election, or audit record without authorization.
  • Reverse engineering, scraping, disrupting, overloading, or interfering with GPERA systems.
  • Uploading malware, abusive content, false incident reports, fraudulent payment evidence, or unlawful material.
  • Using the platform to evade estate security procedures or assist unauthorized entry.
  • Removing, altering, or attempting to manipulate audit logs, payment records, gate logs, or security records.

9. Availability and Offline Use

We aim to provide reliable services, but GPERA may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, internet outages, device issues, third-party service failures, security events, or other causes.

The Guard App may support offline verification and later sync. Offline mode is designed for continuity, but estates must still maintain appropriate physical security procedures and review synced records.

10. Data and Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect information. By using GPERA, you also agree to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Account Suspension or Termination

GPERA or an authorized estate administrator may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where an account is inactive, no longer authorized by the estate, violates these Terms, creates a security risk, is suspected of fraud or misuse, or where required by law.

Certain estate records may remain available to authorized estate administrators after account removal where needed for security, finance, audit, dispute resolution, governance, or legal compliance.

12. Intellectual Property

GPERA software, branding, designs, text, interfaces, workflows, and technology are owned by GPERA or its licensors. These Terms allow you to use the platform only for authorized estate-related purposes. They do not transfer ownership of GPERA intellectual property to you.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

GPERA is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that every unauthorized entry, error, outage, payment dispute, or security incident will be prevented.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GPERA will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of the platform.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform, features, laws, or business needs change. Continued use of GPERA after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
