Account Deletion

How to Delete Account

How residents, guards, and estate users can request account deletion for GPERA apps and services.

Last updated: May 9, 2026

1. Before You Request Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of an account used with GPERA, also known as the Gate Pass System (GPS), including the GPERA Resident App, GPERA Guard App, and estate admin console.

Because GPERA is used for estate security, payments, complaints, incidents, governance, and auditability, some records may need to be retained even after your personal account is deleted or deactivated.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

Send an account deletion request from the email address or phone number linked to your GPERA account. If you cannot access that contact method, include enough information for us and your estate administrator to verify your identity.

  • Email support@gpera.org with the subject line: Delete my GPERA account.
  • Include your full name, phone number, email address, estate name, unit or apartment number if you are a resident, and whether you use the Resident App, Guard App, or admin console.
  • If you are a guard or estate administrator, also contact your estate manager or authorized estate admin because your access may be tied to an estate role assignment.
  • You may also ask your estate administrator to submit or approve the deletion request through their official estate support channel.

3. What Happens Next

  • We will verify the request to protect against unauthorized account deletion.
  • We may contact your estate administrator where the account is estate-issued, role-based, or connected to active estate records.
  • Once verified, we will delete or deactivate the account and remove or anonymize personal profile data where deletion is permitted.
  • We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, audit, payment, dispute, or estate compliance reasons.

4. Data Usually Deleted or Deactivated

  • Login access to the Resident App, Guard App, and estate admin console.
  • Personal profile details that are no longer required, such as editable account contact details and non-essential preferences.
  • Device tokens used for push notifications.
  • Optional profile data that is not required for estate records, security logs, financial records, or compliance.

5. Data That May Be Retained

Some data may be retained after deletion because GPERA supports estate security, accounting, audit trails, governance, and dispute resolution. Retained records are kept only for legitimate business, estate, legal, tax, security, or compliance purposes.

  • Visitor passes, entry logs, exit logs, denied attempts, guard verification records, incidents, and blacklist-related logs.
  • Payment records, receipts, dues, levy allocations, references, and financial audit data.
  • Complaints, complaint responses, announcements, read receipts, documents, election participation records where applicable, and administrative audit logs.
  • Records required to investigate misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, safety issues, legal claims, or regulatory requests.
  • Backups and logs that are overwritten or deleted according to normal retention schedules.

6. Deleting the App from Your Device

Uninstalling the GPERA Resident App or GPERA Guard App from your phone does not delete your account or estate records. To delete your account, follow the request steps above.

7. Residents Who Move Out

If you are no longer a resident of an estate, contact your estate administrator so they can update your unit, resident status, household access, dues visibility, and visitor-pass permissions. You may still request deletion of your GPERA account using the steps above.

8. Guards and Estate Staff

Guard and estate staff accounts are tied to security and administrative responsibilities. If your employment, shift assignment, or estate role ends, your estate administrator should revoke your access. You may also email support@gpera.org for assistance with account deletion or deactivation.

9. Contact

For account deletion requests or questions about retained data, email support@gpera.org. For general inquiries, you may also contact hello@gpera.org.
